About B.Tech Marine Engineering
A 4-year residential undergraduate program duly recognised and approved by the Directorate General of Shipping and AICTE.
In this program, you will learn
- Methods used in the maintenance and construction of harbours and ships.
- Operations, maintenance and repair of all major mechanical and engineered equipment on the ship
- Propulsion mechanics, electricity and power generation system, lubrication, fuel systems, water distillation, lighting and air conditioning system and much more.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum criteria for selection of B Tech Marine candidates at FLEET are:
- Age: 20 years or less as of 1st July 2025 (born on or after 1st July 2005)
Education:
- 12th cleared in 2024 or 2025 (appearing in the board exams in 2025 and awaiting results can also apply)
- There is no more than two academic years gap in the year of passing the 10th and 12th exams respectively.
- Minimum Physics-Chemistry-Maths (PCM) marks in 12th Std: 70 % (improvement exam results will not be considered)
- Minimum English score in 12th Std: 70 % (improvement exam results will not be considered)
- Candidates who have appeared for their 12th standard board exams via an Open Board, the NIOS board, or through distance learning are not eligible.
- Candidates must clear IMU CET 2025
Physical Criteria:
- Height: Minimum 160 centimeters
- BMI: not more than 25
- No speech deformity
- Eyesight 6/6 without aid and no color blindness.
