ELECTRO-TECHNICAL OFFICERS (ETO) COURSE

The minimum criteria for selection of Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) at FLEET are:

Age: 27 years or less

• Education: B.E/B. Tech cleared in 2025 (appearing in the board exams in 2025)
• There are no backlogs throughout the engineering course
• Minimum overall marks in 10th 12th std/Diploma and B.E/B. Tech: 70 % (improvement exam results will not be considered)
• Minimum English score in 12th Std: 70 % (improvement exam results will not be considered)
• Candidates who have appeared for their B.E/B. Tech exams via an Open Board, or through distance learning are not eligible.

Physical Criteria:

Height: Minimum 157 centimeters

。 BMI: not more than 25
• No speech deformity

Medical Criteria:

Candidate must be medically fit including eye sight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended. Candidates will be required to produce a certificate of medical fitness issued by doctors approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.
Normal color vision shall be tested by Ishihara Test Chart. Distance Vision unaided 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in the better eye and 0.33*(6/18) in another eye.
