The International Maritime Institute considers the safety of cadets, staff, faculty, and visitors to be its topmost priority. The Institute has a 'zero-tolerance' policy on all matters about safety.
The Institute appoints select individuals to head the safety committee, which meets regularly to identify safety threats and reports directly to the Head of the Institute. The Institute encourages everyone, including visitors, to report any concerns they may have on safety matters to improve the safety standards within the organization continuously.
