A Year Together: IMI’s Growth with The Caravel Group

Today we celebrate one year since the International Maritime Institute (IMI) became part of The Caravel Group family. Over the past year, this partnership has brought fresh momentum and investment to support IMI’s mission of preparing highly skilled maritime professionals for the global shipping industry.

Building on IMI’s 35-year legacy as a leading maritime institute, the focus has remained clear: equipping cadets with practical skills, modern training, and clear pathways into global maritime careers.

Over the past year, IMI has taken important steps to enhance its training environment and expand opportunities for cadets. Upgrades across the training infrastructure and curriculum included the introduction of advanced simulator training, expanded digital learning resources and new modules focused on emerging developments in shipping such as alternative fuels, emissions awareness and digital navigation systems.

The new logo visually aligns IMI with The Caravel Group and Fleet Management through shared colours and design elements, reflecting shared standards, collaboration and a forward looking direction.

IMI’s new tagline — “Anchored in Maritime Excellence, Broadening Horizons” — reinforces IMI’s continued commitment to providing worldclass maritime education and expanding opportunities for cadets to develop the technical skills and personal qualities needed to succeed in today’s maritime industry.
