In a spectacular Passing out Ceremony held at International Maritime Institute , Greater Noida on Friday, 11 November 2022, GME 36th batch consisting of 40 cadets and ETO 8th batch consisting of 24 cadets including 1 girl cadet passed out with flying colors, marking the culmination of their ab-initio training.
The Guard Of Honor was reviewed by Capt. Virender Yadav, alumni from IMI DNS batch 2nd the Deputy General Manager of MMS Maritime (India), Mrs Poonam Nagpal, senior manager at Delhi MSC office and Capt. Mukesh Kumar, alumni from IMI DNS batch 1st and heading Country Manning office Of MSI shipping services in India.

On completion of the Ceremonial Review, Respected chief Guests Capt. Virender Yadav, Mrs Poonam Nagpal and Capt. Mukesh Kumar Principal Capt. Saurabh Varshney and Head of Department Chief Engineer Arvind Agarwal Congratulated, inspired and motivated the cadets by their speech
Chief Guests awarded medals to meritorious Cadets of IMI. The largest shipping company in the world MSC has shown so much of their valuable interest in the cadets by specially awarding them.
Best female cadet of the year award was given to Cadet Naina Saini of ETO 8 with rolling trophy from MSC.
The ‘Academic Excellence Award’ for the GME 36 and ETO 8 Course was awarded to Cadet Amal Anil Kumar and Cadet Ravi Dhankar respectively. The other medal winners were as follows:-
2nd prize was awarded to Cadet Prajwal Kumar Laxmana of GME 36 and to Cadet Raj of ETO 8
Best shipmate award was given to Cadet Bhupendra Singh Rathore and to Cadet Pawan Gehlot of ETO 8
Best allrounder award was given to Cadet Ashish Kumar of GME 36 and Cadet Dhananjay of ETO 8
Any event is incomplete without cultural events, cadets entertained the audience by performing various activities like dancing, singing, shayries and by sharing their experiences.
Concluding the event, the vice principal Chief Engineer Rajesh Trivedi congratulated the cadets and thanked the chief guests for their presence in the event. After the event ,all the passing out cadets were found to be taking selfies and group photos with faculty members.
