Eligibility:-
1) Seafarer who has completed the four Basic safety courses, under STCW Regulation VI/1 and section A-VI/1 and holds as a minimum a Certificate of Proficiency as a Watchkeeping rating or a Certificate of Competency as an Officer on Watch
2) Hold a certificate of proficiency for Basic Training for ships using Fuels covered within the IGF Code.
Documents Required:-
- Four Basic Safety Courses Certificates
- Basic IGF COP is Mandatory (The Basic IGF CoP has to be applied on the D.G.Shipping Website after receiving BIGF Certificate)
- Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules (Course ID- 5312) through the DGS website is mandatory.
Very Important
1) The course will be conducted all 5 days at the Institute in the physical mode.
2) Kindly ensure your photo and signature in the seafarer profile are updated as the same would be used for Facial Attendance and certification as per DGS Directives.
3) Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules (Course ID- 5312) through the DGS website is mandatory. We advise you to complete the same prior to the course or prior to the course completion.
4) Candidates have to appear for the DGS Exit exam at the Institute on the last Day of the course
5) Candidates should carry Boiler Suit and safety shoes for Practicals
