Adventurous, yet so full of responsibility, merchant navy is very different from the conventional careers. The transition from a student who immediately graduated high school to a sailor is a tough journey. It requires efforts on your part combined with proper guidance. IMI provided me with the best possible environment to learn and enough guidance to achieve it. This journey of 4 years at IMI has given me countless memories to cherish. IMI is full of highly supportive and knowledgeable faculty members, who made it easy to learn tricky stuff. I am really grateful to the faculty for effectively and efficiently helping me grab the first ever opportunity of my career and get placed in the best shipping company i.e., MSI shipping. IMI also provides good housing and excellent mess facilities for students. Last but not the least, I will definitely recommend IMI to any student who wants a career in Merchant Navy.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank IMI for teaching me all that I know about the seafaring and ship operations. I can proudly say that as a marine engineering cadet at IMI I have had the best hands-on experience on how to operate the ship. The best part about studying here is that not only do you get to learn textual stuff, but they also have an in-house ship wherein you can gain ample practical knowledge. Cadets are practically taken inside the ship and taught the workings of the engines and other machinery. The facilities provided at IMI are top quality. In my 4 years at IMI, I have learnt so much and made some of the best memories. It’s education and fun, all under the same roof.
