Entry Standards

The minimum criteria for selection of B Tech Marine candidates at FLEET are:

• Age: 20 years or less as of 1st July 2025 (born on or after 1st July 2005)

Education:

• 12th cleared in 2024 or 2025 (appearing in the board exams in 2025 and awaiting results can also apply)
• There is no more than two academic years gap in the year of passing the 10th and 12th exams respectively.
• Minimum Physics-Chemistry-Maths (PCM) marks in 12th Std: 70 % (improvement exam results will not be considered)
• Minimum English score in 12th Std: 70 % (improvement exam results will not be considered)
• Candidates who have appeared for their 12th standard board exams via an Open Board, the NIOS board, or through distance learning are not eligible.
• Candidates must clear IMU CET 2025

Physical Criteria:

• Height: Minimum 160 centimeters
• BMI: not more than 25
• No speech deformity
• Eyesight 6/6 without aid and no color blindness.

INSTRUCTION FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION

1. Candidate should fill up registration form online at www.imi.edu.in
2. Application Processing / Registration Fee of Rs.2000/- (Non Refundable) is to be remitted through either Online
Payment Gateway provided at IMI Website or can be paid through NEFT.

Documents Required.

Candidate should submit duly attested copy of the under mentioned document:

(a) Diploma Mark Statement
(b) Diploma Certificate
(c) Secondary /10th Std. (SSLC) Mark Statement
(d) Senior Secondary /10 +2 Mark Statement
(e) Birth Certificate issued by any Government authorities
(f) Transfer Certificate
(g) Community Certificate

Pre Screening Test.

Registered Candidates are required to undergo for Pre Screening Test (PST) followed by an Interview at Institute premises.

Medical Examination.

(a) Selected candidate are required to undergo medical examination by Directorate General of Shipping approved
doctors

(b) Medical Examination fee to be paid directly to the Doctor by the Candidate.

(c) Medically fit candidate to submit the report to the Institute positively at the time of admission.

Confirmation of Admission.

Final Admission is subject to the following:

• Payment of total fees.
• Submission of all original documents for verification.
• Submission of Medical Fitness Report by DG Shipping Approved Doctor.

If not found in order, the admission stands cancelled.
