The Minimum Eligibility Criteria for applicants towards CCMC (Certificate Course in Maritime Catering) Course: 
  • Age: Between 17.5 and 25 years, as on the date of commencement of the course.
  • Education:
    • Min 10th standard pass with a minimum overall score of 40% or 12th Std from any stream with minimum overall score 40% marks in 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board with English as one of the subjects.
    • Additional qualifications may include and provide preferential shortlisting, for below qualifications as listed below:
    • Students who are graduates
    • Students who have done vocational courses in catering (MCVC), i.e., those who have opted for catering subjects for standard XI & XII.
    • Students who have done 12-24 months craft courses in catering (after completing their HSC) from reputed catering colleges.
    • Not more than two years difference in the year of passing 10th and 12th exams, respectively.
  • Physical Criteria:
    • Height: Minimum 157 centimetres.
    • BMI: not more than 25.
    • Speech and hearing ability to be within normal range.
    • Eyesight 6/9 un-aided and 6/6 with aid and no colour blindness.
  • Selection Process:
    • Computer based test
    • Personal interview
    • Medical as per applicable standards & psychometric tests.

Distance Vision (Unaided): 0.33 (Values given in Snellen Decimal Notation) (6/18) in each eye;
or 0.5 (Values given in Snellen Decimal Notation) (6/12) in better eye and 0.25 (Values given in
Snellen Decimal Notation) (6/24) in other eye.

CCMC admission process

The admission process for enrolment in a CCMC course varies from college to college. In IMI the standard admission process involves these steps.

  • Step2:It involves a written entrance examination. Candidate’ s basic knowledge and clarity on concepts is tested in this round.
  • Step 3:It is based on a personal interview. Candidate’s self confidence is judged in this round.
  • Step 4:  Medical fitness examination by DGS approved doctor
